General recommendations and precautions
•
Before carrying out any
maintenance on this appliance,
disconnect it from the electric
power supply.
•
Keep children away from the
appliances when they are in use
and when just switched off.
•
The appliances must only be
repaired or adjusted by a
specialised technician.
•
Make sure the electrical wires of
other appliances used near the
hob do not touch hot parts.
• Do not switch on the
hotplates/cooking zones
without pots or pans.
•
The hob has hotplates/cooking
zones of different widths. Use
pots with bottoms of the same
width as the hotplate/cooking
zone.
To avoid permanently
damaging the glass ceramic
top, do not use:
-
pots with bottoms that are
not perfectly flat;
-
metal pots with enamelled
bottoms
-
At the end of cooking, press
the button .
•
Do not use the hob as a work or
support surface.
•
Pay constant attention when
frying food, since the oil may
catch fire.
•
If the glass ceramic surface
breaks or cracks due to a violent
impact (falling objects, etc.) do
not use it; call the After-Sales
Technical Service immediately.
Do not place food wrapped in
aluminium foil, plastic containers
or rags on the hot cooking zones.
•
To avoid scratching the surface,
do not drag pans across the glass
ceramic.
•
Avoid spilling sugar and similar
substances on the hob. If
necessary, clean the hob
immediately, following the
cleaning and maintenance
instructions contained in this
manual.
If the hob is fitted with halogen
plates, do not stare at the lamps.
•
This appliance is not intended
for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities or
lack of experience and
knowledge, unless supervised or
given initial instruction
concerning use of the appliance
by those responsible for their
safety.
