PRACTICAL ADVICE FOR USING THE BURNERS
- With the vitroceramic heating element it is advisable to use flat-bottomed pots and pans of the same width (or slightly
larger) as the hotplate.
- Avoid spilling liquids; therefore when boiling or heated, lower the heat setting
- Do not leave the electric hotplate on when not being used or with empty pots or pans on it.
- At the end of cooking, turn the knob to the closed/off position
IMPORTANT: WHEN THE HOB IS IN USE, THE ENTIRE HOB SURFACE CAN BECOME HOT.
• To light a burner, turn the corresponding knob anticlockwise until the pointer is at the maximum flame symbol.
• Press the knob against the control panel to light the burner.
• Once the burner is lit, keep the knob pressed for about 5-10 seconds to allow proper operation of the device.
The safety device shuts off the gas if the flame goes out accidentally (draughts, momentary interruption of delivery, liquids
boiling over, etc.).
• The knob must be operated for not more than 15 seconds. If, after that time, the burner does not stay lit, wait at least a
minute before trying to light it again.
NOTE: If particular conditions of the gas supplied locally make burner lighting difficult, it is advisable to repeat the
operation with the knob turned to the small flame position.
The burner may go out when the knob is released. This means that the safety device has not heated up enough. In this
case, repeat the operations described above.
- To turn on the vitroceramic heating element, turn the knob to the required setting, bearing in mind that a higher number
corresponds to more heat. The indicator lamp lit up signals that the hotplate is on. For certain types of lamps, a slight
glow could remain even with controls off.
